The 2010 Irish Festival

Saturday was a wonderful day in Central New York! The 2010 Irish Festival was held in Clinton Square Downtown Syracuse. They have several bands that come straight from Ireland to perform. We went with Dave, Lyla, a couple of cousins, and friends. We ended up in the VIP tent for the day; free Irish Beer and Food all day and night, so we had a 10 hour outing! It was a blast!!!

Fall Is Upon Us

So the low 60's have hit Syracuse, NY.  On our daily walk, we have to bundle Lyla up...we're told she needs to be wearing one layer more then whatever we are wearing.  That being said, here's what she LOVES to wear now!

Patricia and Dave got Lyla an amazing Christening Gown, and Sarah wanted to do a photo-shoot of Lyla while she was all dressed and Angelic.

Lyla's Baptism

Lyla was Baptized into the Catholic Church August 14, 2010

Father Fred, who has been the active priest at Most Holy Rosary (where we were married), was thankfully able to do the service. He was very close to Sarah's grandma and grandpa Hartnett, and is known as the "13th Hartnett." He has played an active roll in the Pelligrini's lives, as well as all the Hartnett's lives.

It was a very special day!

Yes, We Are Blogging :)

The summer has quickly come to end, and we have had an incredible time.  Lyla is growing like a weed, and we finally decided that creating this blog would be the best way to keep everyone up to date with the Gaines Family Happenings. 

We plan to keep it updated weekly, and will post new pictures and stories!
